Spacewall International recently completed a project for a new gift shop in the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi, Texas. The project began just before Christmas on December 21st and ended by the 1st week of February, 2017. The project required a number of custom printed laminate panels manufactured using MDF and Omniwall T metal inserts in the grooves and custom display units including a custom slatwall checkout counter.
Dallas plant manager Kenny Monks and his team faced a number of challenges including the ability to align the murals both visually and with the slatwall spacing from panel to panel. Spacewall sales representative Sue Waller worked extensively with the client and the Wilsonart graphics team to ensure the production flowed smoothly.

The result using the custom print panels is stunning! The massive images include 5 murals-dolphins, lionfish, jellyfish, sea turtles and sardines. They are very realistic looking and beautiful. The custom panels create colorful yet functional backdrops for the products available in the gift store. The merchandising units help display more product in less space and make it easy for customers to find the products they desire. The project incorporates many different wall accessories and many different configurations of display units. The staff found the project to be challenging and rewarding.
